Class Description: Third part of a four part series. Come explore the explosion of art, innovation, and exploration all through stories and weekly hands-on activities. Let’s paint like Leonardo, act out a Shakespearean play, navigate like Columbus and live like Pilgrims! Homework will include a small amount of map work and choosing books from a mini library brought weekly. You can do a little or a lot, but be ready to share what you have discovered!

We will cover one region every month; geography and climate, political boundaries and capitals, tourist/physical destinations, history, food, and culture. Then create a personalized 3D map and travel book.

Learn about its geography, government, economics, history, and nature. Then spend time living and learning the culture: music, food, celebrations, art, games, language and more!

In class we'll reflect, narrate, & make something FUN & hands on! Two chapters are read for homework each week w/optional writing prompts for extension.
