The mission of Generations Homeschool Community is to support homeschool families and students with weekly enrichment classes. We teach from a Biblical worldview and always use teachable moments to point students toward Jesus.

OUR HISTORY
Generations Homeschool Community opened in August of 2024. GHC was formerly owned and operated by Summit Academy LLC. In the spring of 2024, Shelly & Michael Mauldin purchased the campus as an asset of Summit Academy, from Jill Butcher, the owner of Summit Academy.
​​LEADERSHIP
Shelly Mauldin, Owner & Campus Site Director:
Shelly has a bachelors and master's degree in early childhood education. She taught at a local preschool for two years and then in Oconee County for 12 years. The Mauldins have been a part of the Summit Academy program for 8 years, with Shelly teaching for 7 years and directing the Oconee campus for 4 years. She brings her knowledge of curriculum, planning and leadership to our community. Shelly loves encouraging and supporting families who have chosen to homeschool.

Lindsey Cavin, Assistant Site Director:
Lindsey's professional career started with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where she met her husband, Aaron Cavin. Before staying home with their children, Lindsey was a social worker in Clarke County Schools. She and Aaron were foster parents for many years and have 5 children. Lindsey shares a passion for homeschooling and discipling her children. She has a heart for helping kids and families navigate challenges and hardships. She's an excellent listener and gives great advice. ​
